From the Program Director
We are delighted to introduce Valley's Gastroenterology Fellowship Training Program, sponsored by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Our comprehensive training program is structured to provide our gastroenterology fellows with a curriculum that allows them to graduate as expert gastroenterology consultants and be leaders in their field.
The fellows will have experience in both ambulatory care as well as hospitalized patients, including acute emergent care in the emergency department. Under the supervision of experienced faculty, they will provide consultative gastroenterology services and progressively perform all indicated endoscopic procedures in the care of their patients. In addition to didactic conferences in gastroenterology and hepatology, fellows will participate in multidisciplinary conferences with other subspecialties, they will interact with pathologists, radiologists, pediatric gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons.
We will welcome our inaugural class of three fellows in July of 2027; as pioneers, our fellows will have the privilege to set academic goals, establish a culture of mutual respect, and establish a strong foundation for future fellows as we work together to enhance the gastroenterology care of our patients.
