Patients who need advanced wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) care can trust the specialized services and skilled team at The Valley Hospital’s Wound, Ostomy & Continence Center. With more than 40 years of experience in wound treatment, ostomy care, and skin care for incontinence, the center offers a wide range of treatments to promote healing.
Valley’s Wound, Ostomy and Continence Center provides inpatient and outpatient services for adults, children, and infants.
The Valley Approach to Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Care
Convenience and high-quality, compassionate care are hallmarks of Valley’s WOC program. The center is located on the first floor of the Valley Health System - Ridgewood Campus, just off the main lobby, making access significantly easier for patients who find mobility uncomfortable and strenuous.
Our team is led by Magnet-designated nurses and advanced practice nurses who hold national board certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing. The team focuses on treating each patient’s individualized needs and helping them to heal properly, recover comfortably, and function independently if new skills are required following an injury or surgery.
Patients are not required to have a referring clinician, but if you do, we will work directly with them to establish a plan of care to maintain continuity and quality of care. We will provide end-of-care reports to each referring clinician so that your post-discharge care and patient self-management continue smoothly.
