The Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Center cares for adults, children, and infants with all types of chronic and acute wounds. Our multidisciplinary approach combines clinical wound care and support services, leading to successful wound healing.
The Valley Approach to Wound Care
At Valley, we offer comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that use the most advanced clinical tools and techniques as well as traditional evidence-based practices. Treatments may include specialized wound dressings, various types of debridement (a procedure used to remove nonviable or damaged tissue from a wound) to promote healing, compression wraps, and non-invasive vascular assessment.
At the completion of your care, your referring clinician(s) will be provided with a complete summary of care.

Treatment Options
Your wound treatment will begin with a complete assessment of the wound and the area surrounding it by your nurse. Our team will develop a personal wound care plan for you depending on the type of wound, its duration, and its severity or stage.
Treatment options may include:
- Specialized wound dressings
- Topical ointments
- Debridement (removal of dead tissue) to promote healing
- Arobella Qoustic™ ultrasonic debridement
- Negative-pressure wound therapy (e.g., vacuum-assisted closure or SNAP™ therapy system)
- Compression wraps
- Non-invasive vascular assessments
