Thank you for your interest in the Valley Health System - Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program. The application process is conducted exclusively through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Click here to visit the ERAS site.
All interviews for the 2026 interview season (fellowship starting July 2027) will be conducted virtually and held from August through October.
Our program will accept 2 fellows per year.
Requirements
- Submit a completed application via ERAS
- A minimum of three (3) letters of recommendation, one of which should be from your residency or your current program director
- Submit scores from USMLE/COMLEX or ECFMG Certification
- Prior to appointment in the program, fellows must have completed and ACGME or AOA approved residency in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, radiation oncology, OR have completed at least three clinical years in a residency program in anesthesiology, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, radiology, or surgery.
- Applicants selected for an interview will be notified starting in August and will be allowed a minimum of 48 hours to accept the interview.
- All interviews will be conducted virtually from August through October.
In accordance with Valley Health System’s employment requirements, our program requires the following at the time of matriculation:
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- Pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Information relevant to licensure status or visa status
