Thank you for your interest in the Valley Health System - Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program. The application process is conducted exclusively through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Click here to visit the ERAS site.

All interviews for the 2026-2027 interview season (fellowship starting July 2027) will be conducted virtually and held from September through October.

Our program will accept four (4) fellows per year.

Requirements

  • Submit a completed application via ERAS
  • Complete ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency
  • 3-4 letters of recommendation, including one from your Program Director
  • Personal statement describing your specific interest in cardiovascular disease and your long-term career goals
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Pass all USMLE/COMPLEX steps
  • Register for NRMP Specialties Matching Program
  • ECFMG Certification (required if you are an international medical graduate)
  • Applicants selected for an interview will be notified starting in August.
  • Applicants will be allowed a minimum of 48 hours to accept the interview.
  • Participation in the ERAS and NRMP preference signaling.

In accordance with Valley Health System’s employment requirements, our program requires the following at the time of matriculation:

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  • Pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • Information relevant to licensure status or visa status
