Volunteer Services Update

As we continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19, and as a measure of precaution and prevention from potential exposures, all volunteer services across Valley Health System have been temporarily suspended.

At this time, we will not be moving forward with any program acceptances. For those of you who have already attended information sessions and received acceptance into any of our volunteer programs, please understand that we will have spots for you when we are able to bring you back on board!  

This notice will be updated once the temporary suspension is lifted. Please continue to exercise good judgment and practice safe and healthy behaviors to keep you and your families in good health! 

Adult volunteers at Valley Health System serve in a variety of capacities, from greeting guests in the main lobby and delivering flowers to providing office support, assisting patients and staff, or playing instruments to calm patients and family members. We even welcome four-legged friends (and their owners) to serve as therapy dogs! 

Adults may volunteer at The Valley Hospital, Valley Home Care and various outpatient locations. Whatever your skills, interests or availability, our volunteer staff will find the assignment that’s right for you.  

Adult Volunteer Assignments

Once your volunteer application is received, your references are contacted via e-mail. Once all references are returned, your application is reviewed. When a position matching your availability, interest and skill set becomes available, you'll be contacted regarding next steps. Should we not have anything immediately available for you, we'll continue to keep your application on file for consideration as new positions become available.

Assignments are based on individual interests, skills, and the needs of Valley Health System. Morning, afternoon, evening and weekend positions are available.
