Aid and Attendance Pensions

At Home Companions 
Provides a wide array of services to Veterans or their surviving spouses that can help clients remain in the o in the comfort of familiar surroundings. The staff will help clients to determine eligibility for the Aid and Attendance Pension and will assist clients through the entire application process at no additional charge.

Veterans Home Care 
The VetAssist Program provides in home care to veterans and surviving spouses so they can remain where they want to be in their home. They help clients determine if they qualify for the VA Aid & Attendance Pension Benefit and assist you to complete the application process at no additional charge. Veterans Home Care provides services to clients in 44 states, including New Jersey.

Aid and Attendance and Household Pension Benefit
Veterans and surviving spouses who are eligible for a VA pension AND require the aid and attendance of another person, OR are housebound, may be eligible for additional monetary payment. These benefits are paid in addition to monthly pension, and they are not paid without eligibility to Pension. At Home Companions (listed in the local section) and Veteran's Home Care are local agencies that provide services as well as assistance with completing the application process and an assessment of eligibility.
