What are the visiting guidelines during and after April 14?

To ensure a safe and organized move, visiting hours will be modified in both Ridgewood and Paramus on April 14. Should you need to visit a patient on or around the day of our move, please click here for the most up-to-date information.

Where can I park at The Valley Hospital?

Patients and guests coming to The Valley Hospital can park for free in our parking deck, which can be accessed at the front of the hospital via the intersection of Winters Avenue and Valley Health Plaza.

Patient and visitor parking is available on level 1 of the parking deck, with additional parking available on levels 2, 3 and above.

There are 25 electric car charging stations available in the parking deck.

Emergency Department parking is available via the surface lot near the ED entrance.

Where can I seek emergency care on April 14?

At 6 a.m. on Sunday, April 14, The Valley Hospital Emergency Department in Ridgewood (223 North Van Dien Ave., Ridgewood) will permanently close. Anyone needing emergency care from 6 a.m. on should come to The Valley Hospital's new location (4 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus; for GPS, use 650 Winters Ave., Paramus), where our teams will be ready to provide emergency care.

I have a loved one who will be moved to Paramus on April 14 – what can they expect?

The physical move of patients from Ridgewood to Paramus will begin at 7 a.m. Patients will receive a boxed breakfast, and depending on their move time, will eat lunch in Ridgewood or Paramus. Our nursing teams will make sure that patients have everything they need to move, including personal items and medications. Patients are asked to send home any valuables prior to April 14. Once the patient arrives at their new hospital room, a Patient Ambassador will help them become familiar with their new surroundings. In addition, a Patient Ambassador will contact the patient’s loved ones once they are settled in Paramus.
