Valley Health System’s Specialty Pharmacy program supports patients who require specialized medications for rare, chronic or complex health conditions.
Our friendly, knowledgeable pharmacists help patients access medications that often can’t be found in a traditional pharmacy. They also provide education and follow-up to help patients take their medications properly, as well as assistance to lower prescription costs.
Valley’s Specialty Pharmacy provides advanced medications used to treat a variety of conditions, including:
Friendly refill reminders – We keep track of your prescription schedule for you. When it’s time for a refill, we will call you to make sure you receive your medication on time. We’ll always speak with you before refilling your medication, so you know when it’s scheduled to arrive.
Free, next-day medication delivery – Your medications are shipped in unmarked, temperature-controlled packing to your home, workplace, doctor’s office, Valley’s retail pharmacies, or other location of your choice.
Medication education – Our pharmacist will review your medication and answer any questions you may have before you begin your regimen. To help you get the most from your medication after you’ve started, a pharmacist will follow-up with you to see if you have any other questions or concerns.
Help with prior authorization – We partner closely with your doctor and insurance company to make sure your medications are properly approved and are covered by your insurance plan.
Financial assistance investigation – We understand specialty medications are expensive. Our patient financial advocates will work with you to bring down your cost as much as possible. They can also help you access copay assistance programs and other support/charitable organizations to make these medications more affordable.

The Valley Health Pharmacy has earned URAC accreditation in Specialty Pharmacy.
Sites accredited are the Valley Health Pharmacy Prescription Processing Center, the Valley Health Pharmacy at Luckow and the Valley Health Pharmacy in Mahwah.
