Valley uses state-of-the-art technology to diagnose pulmonary conditions, including:

  • EBUS (endobronchial ultrasound) and navigational bronchoscopy — used for the diagnosis and staging of lung cancer
  • Nioxx — measures exhaled nitric oxide and used to diagnose and assess efficacy of the treatment of asthma
  • Ultrasonography (thoracic and limited cardiac ultrasound) —  used to assess pleural disorders, lung infiltrates and cardiac function. This technology is mostly utilized in the ICU but is sometimes used in an outpatient setting as well
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Chest X-ray
  • CT scanning performed with state-of-the-art equipment
