Brianne Traub, Pharm.D, PGY-1 Resident Pharmacist

Dr. Brianne Traub, PharmD, is from Wayne, New Jersey and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. Dr. Traub is currently a PGY-1 Resident Pharmacist at The Valley Hospital, where she is excited to continue to expand the roles of pharmacists and improve patient care. Dr. Traub chose The Valley Hospital because of its diverse available learning experiences and its involvement with students from local pharmacy schools. After residency, Dr. Traub sees herself as a clinical pharmacist working in either the ambulatory care setting or the emergency department. Dr. Traub can be reached at btraub@valleyhealth.com

Mark Levy, Pharm.D., PGY-1 Resident Pharmacist

Dr. Mark Levy graduated from the University of Buffalo with his PharmD, after completing his Bachelor degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Connecticut.  Dr. Levy gained interest in the field while working at Florida Hospital during his PhD program in molecular pharmacology.  His areas of interest include critical care, infectious diseases and informatics/management. He chose The Valley Hospital due to the balanced structure of clinical, administrative and staffing responsibilities that the residency has to offer for developing professional and personal growth. Mark has been involved with creating a new rotation in nutritional support, attending codes, rounding with the medical teams in various specialty areas, and participating in a teaching certificate program. Upon completion of the residency program, Mark plans to obtain a clinical pharmacotherapy specialist position. Dr. Levy can be reached at mlevy3@valleyhealth.com.

Michael J. Gabriele, Pharm.D., PGY-1 Community Resident Pharmacist

Dr. Michael J. Gabriele is the pharmacist for The Valley Hospital’s PGY-1 Community Residency position. After growing up nearby in Clifton, NJ, Michael graduated from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ in May 2017 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. With a passion for the developing field of Transitions of Care, selecting The Valley Hospital’s new PGY-1 Community Residency was a natural choice. The program consists mainly of working closely with the pharmacists in the hospital's new outpatient pharmacy to enhance the transitions of care that our patients experience as they are treated and discharged from our institution. Along with enjoying the opportunity to practice his desired professional specialty, Michael has a deep appreciation for the welcoming and friendly culture of the entirety of The Valley Hospital’s staff. Since beginning his residency this past July, Michael has helped launch the hospital’s “Meds to Beds” program, prepared presentations for the hospital’s Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and has become certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. After completing his residency, his plan is to continue practicing as a Transitions of Care Pharmacist, assisting patients as they move throughout the healthcare system.  Dr. Gabriele can be reached at mgabrie@valleyhealth.com.
