The call for abstracts and speakers for The Valley Hospital’s 2026 Holistic Conference is now open! We invite you to submit a poster abstract related to holistic practices, research, and innovations in the acute care or community settings, or to present to our audience as a speaker. The conference theme is "Rooted in Growth: Nurturing the Whole Being."

Submission Deadline
The deadline for all abstract and speaker submissions is February 14, 2026. Individuals who are selected to present will be notified by February 28, 2026.
Call for Poster Abstracts
Presenting a poster is a great opportunity for experienced and aspiring nursing leaders, educators, and direct care nurses to disseminate best practices. Please consider actively participating in the conference by submitting an abstract for poster presentation.
Eight abstracts will be selected for conference display in poster form, and five abstracts will be selected for podium presentation.

All abstract submissions will be blinded for review by our Holistic Planning Committee. Authors of selected abstracts will be notified by February 28, 2026.
Guidelines for Poster Abstracts
- Title accurately describes the ideas presented in the study or project.
- Introduction/background section clearly and concisely describes the purpose of the study or project.
- Methods were appropriate for the study or project and are clearly stated.
- Results/outcomes are described clearly and succinctly, and an explanation of what was discovered, accomplished, collected, or produced is provided.
- Conclusion and/or recommendations are succinct and relate to an interpretation of the results and to current literature. Study/project limitations are noted.

Details for Potential Speakers
Audience: Holistic nurses and other holistic-oriented healthcare professionals and leaders
Equipment provided: Projection, laptop for presentation, AV set-up including microphone. Attendee handouts, if any, are the responsibility of the speaker.
Presentation format: Timeslots are either 30 or 45 minutes in length, lecture/demonstration format. Presentations should be engaging; participant interaction and/or slides are encouraged.
