The call for abstracts and speakers for The Valley Hospital’s 2027 Holistic Conference is now open! We invite you to submit an abstract related to holistic practices, research, and innovations in the acute care or community settings, or to present to our audience as a speaker. The conference theme is "The Spectrum of Healing: Diverse Perspectives on Total Wellness."

Submission Deadline
The deadline for all abstract and speaker proposal submissions is October 31, 2026. A late-entry window may open in December but is not guaranteed.
Authors and speakers who are selected will be notified by December 1, 2026. Abstract authors will also be notified at that time whether their abstract was accepted for printed poster display or a 20-minute podium presentation.
Call for Abstracts
Presenting an abstract is a great opportunity for experienced and aspiring nursing leaders, educators, and direct care nurses to disseminate best practices. Please consider actively participating in the conference by submitting an abstract for poster or podium presentation.
We are welcoming abstracts of completed research studies, evidence-based practice change projects, or performance improvement projects associated with holistic nursing. The application window is September 1, 2026, through October 31, 2026. Our conference will feature abstracted works in two formats: printed posters and 20-minute podium presentations. Please note that authors accepted to present a poster or at the podium will be offered a discounted registration fee.

Call for Speakers
We are welcoming proposals from qualified speakers who have: 1) published research to share; 2) possess specialized knowledge and expertise on holistic nursing principles, practices, modalities; or 3) have experience with holistic approaches to health and wellness. The application window is September 1, 2026, through October 31, 2026.
Our conference will feature a full day of speakers, poster presentations, and networking. Speaker time slots are 45 minutes in length, inclusive of an introduction and Q & A.
Our conference offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your work and to share your knowledge and expertise with healthcare professionals who use holistic principles in their day-to-day practice, as well as those who aspire to do so.
Please note that we are unable to offer an honorarium to speakers; however, all speakers will have their attendance fees waived and are welcome to attend the full day and to enjoy the light breakfast and sumptuous buffet lunch served by the venue.
