The Valley Hospital has been ranked among the best hospitals in New Jersey, placing third on the list of 98 New Jersey hospitals, and achieved an overall rating as the sixteenth best hospital in a two-way tie in the entire New York metropolitan area, by U.S. News & World Report for 2022-2023.
Valley also achieved the highest possible rating of “high performing” in 13 procedures and conditions: aortic valve surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), colon cancer surgery, diabetes, heart attack, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, hip replacement, kidney failure, knee replacement, lung cancer surgery, pneumonia, and stroke. Valley was also recognized as high performing in the adult specialty of orthopedics. These distinctions are the result of U.S. News evaluating data on nearly 5,000 hospitals across the nation.
