Valley Health System Announces Five Executive Staff Promotions

Valley Health System recently announced five executive staff promotions. Included in this group are Karteek Bhavsar, Julia N. Karcher, William Klutkowski, Brad A. Haspel, and Bettyann Kempin. 

karteek bhavsarKarteek Bhavsar, Senior Vice President of Valley Health System Operations and Business Development

Karteek Bhavsar has been promoted from Vice President of Administration to his new role as Senior Vice President of Valley Health System Operations and Business Development. Karteek began his career in Valley’s Planning Department in 1998 and has progressed through many areas of the organization, holding the positions of Director of Same Day Surgery and Pain Management, Assistant Vice President of Ambulatory Services, and Assistant Vice President of Perioperative Services. In 2015, Karteek was appointed to the role of Vice President of Administration, and in 2020, Karteek assumed the added responsibilities for Planning and Business Development.


Julie Karcher, Senior Vice President of Valley Health System and Valley Medical GroupKarcher, Julie.jpg

Julie Karcher has been promoted from Vice President of Valley Health System and Valley Medical Group to her new role as Senior Vice President of Valley Health System and Valley Medical Group. Julie joined Valley in 1998 as the Care Center Administrator for Cardiopulmonary Services, was promoted to Assistant Vice President of the Heart and Vascular Institute in 2008, and then promoted to Vice President of Administration in 2012. In 2021, Julie was given responsibility for Valley Medical Group, in addition to maintaining executive leadership of cardiovascular services and research, and the title of Vice President of Valley Health System and Valley Medical Group. 


billBill Klutkowski, Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer

Bill Klutkowski has been promoted from Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Bill came to Valley in 1995 as The Valley Hospital’s Director of Finance and was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Finance in 2008, followed by Vice President of Finance in 2012. In 2020, Bill was promoted to Vice President of Finance and CFO of Valley Health System.

 

 

bradBrad A. Haspel, Vice President of Ancillary Services for Valley Health System and Valley Medical Group

Brad A. Haspel has been promoted from Assistant Vice President of Ancillary Services to Vice President of Ancillary Services for Valley Health System and Valley Medical Group. Brad joined Valley in 2004 as Director of Diagnostic Imaging with 23 years of experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Ancillary Services and had the added responsibility for Laboratory Services.

 


baBettyann Kempin, Vice President of Administration

Bettyann Kempin, DNP, MS-HCM, RN, NP-C, CCRN-K, NEA-BC, FACHE, has been promoted from Assistant Vice President of Oncology Services to Vice President of Administration. Bettyann came to Valley in 1989 as a staff nurse in the Intensive Care Unit and held multiple critical care service leadership roles, including becoming Assistant Vice President of Medical/Surgical Services in 2010. In 2019, she was appointed Assistant Vice President of Oncology Services.
