Arik Zaider, MD

Arik Zaider, MD

Interim Director, Rheumatology, Valley Medical Group

Dr. Zaider wants patients to feel comfortable and focuses on their physical comfort and emotional well-being. He believes in accessible and collaborative care, with respect given to patient and family preferences, values, and cultural traditions. He diagnoses and treats different types of arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, gout, Sjogren’s syndrome, fibromyalgia, and vasculitis. Dr. Zaider speaks English, French, Hebrew, and Romanian.

Dr. Zaider received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, completed a residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Massachusetts, and completed a fellowship in rheumatology at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

Mary Jelderks, MD

Mary Jelderks, MD

Dr. Jelderks takes a whole-person approach using a biopsychosocial framework when evaluating and managing patients. Using a patient-centered approach allows her to creatively construct a unique plan that comprehensively and realistically works for each patient. She believes that establishing strong, long-term relationships with each patient remains a core quality in providing excellent care. She treats a wide range of both rheumatologic and non-rheumatologic conditions. Dr. Jelderks speaks English and Arabic. 

Dr. Jelderks received her medical degree from Ross University of Medicine in Barbados, completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Pennsylvania, and completed a fellowship in rheumatology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in New Jersey.  
 

Ashraf Raslan, MD

Ashraf Raslan, MD

Dr. Raslan uses a patient-centered approach and evidence-based medical care. He treats a range of conditions, including different autoimmune and rheumatological disorders; inflammatory arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis; gout and pseudogout; osteoarthritis; and more. 

He received his medical degree from the University of Damascus, Faculty of Medicine in Syria, completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Barnabas Medical Center in New York, and completed a fellowship in rheumatology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey.

Marissa Sansone, MD

Marissa Sansone, MD

Dr. Sansone is dedicated to providing individualized care to patients while discussing all available data so patients feel empowered in decision-making. She values long-term, compassionate relationships with her patients while keeping their goals as her main objective. She specializes in a range of rheumatologic conditions, including adult-onset Still’s disease, vasculitis related to any organ, autoimmune/inflammatory-related neurological, lung and kidney-related diseases, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), mixed connective tissue disease, scleroderma, Raynaud's, undifferentiated connective tissue disease, inflammatory myopathies/myositis, and other inflammatory/autoinflammatory and autoimmune disorders.

Dr. Sansone received her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, completed a residency in internal medicine at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey, and completed a fellowship in rheumatology at Yale–New Haven Medical Center in Connecticut. 

Roman Zuckerman, MD

Roman Zuckerman, MD

Dr. Zuckerman treats each patient as if they were his own family. He strives to be comprehensive, thorough, and compassionate while devising a plan focused on optimizing the effects of treatment for patients and potential side effects. He has extensive experience treating a variety of rheumatologic conditions, with a particular interest in vasculitis. Dr. Zuckerman speaks English and Russian. 

Dr. Zuckerman received his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, completed a residency in internal medicine at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in New Jersey, and completed a fellowship in rheumatology at Robert Wood Johnson University in New Jersey.
