Before giving birth to her son in 2022, Jill Gray visited different pediatricians to try to find the right fit for her and her growing family. After not connecting with any, she turned to her obstetrician and gynecologist from Valley Medical Group’s Montvale location, who revealed Valley would soon open its own pediatric practice next door. 
“I called the office and brought my son in, and he was actually the first patient they ever had,” said the Rockland County native. “From the first appointment, it had great energy and felt new and exciting. It was nice to see everyone helping out.”
Valley Medical Group, in partnership with Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, opened its pediatric primary and specialty care practice at 135 N. Kinderkamack Road in Montvale, New Jersey, in the fall of 2022 – two days after Jill gave birth to her son. At the start of 2026, a second pediatric primary care location opened at 1578 Route 23 North in Wayne, New Jersey.
Years later, Jill continues to bring her son, and now her daughter, to see Cecilia Godoy, MD, pediatrician at the Montvale location.
“It was difficult being a new mom at an older age – felt like I should already know what to do – and it is very easy to spiral when you look to the internet for answers,” said the now 41-year-old. “But Dr. Godoy always listens, talks through different options, and really cares. It feels like everyone there has been a part of my family’s lives since the beginning – which they literally have!”
“I don’t feel like a number or a burden when I call with a concern and always feel like we are on the same team,” said Jill. “The office is flexible, clean, and even has a separate area for sick children, which I appreciate.”
Jill notes how she appreciates the time and care that goes into every appointment and highlights the continuity of care.
“Regular checkups always have me feeling great, but it is really scary when your child is sick,” said Jill. “I always feel heard, and Dr. Godoy always has the attitude that we will get through it together. I know at Valley I am not on my own, and that we really are all a team caring for my kids.”
