Applications will open from December 1, 2025 – March 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET for the 2025-2026 residency year. Our residency program will be accepting applications on a rolling basis. If selected following application submission, an interview will be scheduled from December 2025 through March 2026.
In addition to completing the Valley Health System application for employment, applicants are also required to complete the residency-specific application through RF-PTCAS.
We will be selecting one candidate per residency cycle.

Application/Admissions Requirements
- Must possess at least a master's degree from a CAPTE-accredited college or university, except for an applicant who, prior to January 1, 2003, possesses a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; doctorate degree in physical therapy is preferred.
- At the time of residency program commencement, the applicant:
- Must possess a current, permanent, unrestricted valid New Jersey license as a physical therapist.
- Must possess a current BLS Certification.
- Must have an active APTA Membership, including Orthopaedic Section Membership
- Must meet all eligibility and competency requirements to be employed as a practicing physical therapist within Valley Health System
