Traffic Alert: On Monday, May 30, access to The Valley Hospital from the Linwood end of North Van Dien Avenue will be restricted from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. to allow for the Ridgewood Run 5K and 10K. Everyone coming to the hospital during that period should enter North Van Dien from East Glen Avenue.
The William O. Green, Jr., MD, Medical Laboratory Science Program at The Valley Hospital prepares qualified individuals to enter the profession of medical technology/medical laboratory science with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to achieve competence, and to demonstrate continued professionalism and growth throughout their careers. As a medical technologist/medical laboratory scientist, they will be trained to collect and process specimens and perform laboratory tests with accuracy and precision, ensuring that physicians have accurate data on which to base a diagnosis.
The curriculum will emphasize proficiency in the evaluation of clinical laboratory data in order to assess results and synthesize resolutions for both technical and non-technical issues. Through this experience, graduates will be prepared for future roles in clinical laboratory science, research, education and administration.
