Valley Medical Group’s Dumont Primary and Urgent Care Center offers the Candela GentleYAG™ laser system, which provides safe and effective cosmetic treatments for all skin types including fair, olive and dark skin.
The GentleYAG combines a longer wavelength laser with a patented cooling system, the Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD™). The longer wavelength laser combined with a 3-millisecond pulse allows the system to treat even the smallest of hair diameters, and is less likely to cause hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation.
The DCD sprays the upper layers of skin with a fine mist of cryogen prior to each laser pulse. This exclusive cooling technology protects the top layer of skin and increases comfort while enabling the laser energy to reach and treat the hair follicles.
