Valley Health System Honored For Digital Excellence As a 2023 Digital Health Most Wired Survey Recipient

Valley Health System has been recognized as one of the nation’s “Most Wired” according to The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Digital Health Most Wired™ 2023 survey.

CHIME’s Most Wired distinction recognizes hospitals and health systems that are at the forefront of using healthcare information technology (IT) to improve the delivery of care. Valley received a Level 8 certification in the Acute survey selection, which is one of the highest certifications given by CHIME.

Among the more than 55,000 facilities represented, Valley ranked above peers in categories like analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure, and patient engagement. The survey assessed the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in healthcare organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry leading.

“Valley is proud to have once again made the Most Wired list and to have earned one of the highest certification levels,” said Eric Carey, Vice President of Information Systems and Chief Information Officer for Valley Health System. “We strategically leverage technology to optimize access to high-quality care, as well as to improve outcomes and the patient experience. Driving toward the opening of our new hospital, we are excited about the exceptional new technologies we are implementing to further our commitment to our patients.”

This is the 23rd year that Valley has made this prestigious list.

“We are proud to recognize Valley’s exceptional dedication to digital health excellence,” said CHIME President and CEO Russell P. Branzell. “Valley’s pioneering performance in the industry not only inspires other organizations by example, but also provides patients around the world with better care.”

The Digital Health Most Wired survey and recognition program serves as a comprehensive “Digital Health Check-up” for healthcare organizations across the world. As success in digital health increasingly determines the quality of patient care, the scope of the CHIME Digital Health Most Wired survey reflects the progress of leading healthcare providers as they reinvent healthcare for a new century. This remarkable achievement stretches far beyond information technology and reflects an entire organization’s commitment to improve healthcare through the advancement of digital health strategies.
