The miracle of organ and tissue transplantation saves or greatly improves the lives of thousands of men, women and children every year. The Valley Hospital is proud to partner with others to encourage organ and tissue donation in our community.

The Valley Hospital works closely with NJ Sharing Network, a non-profit, federally certified, state-approved organ procurement organization (OPO). An OPO is a program that acquires and coordinates placement of donated organs for patients on national transplant waiting lists.

The Sharing Network is responsible for the recovery of organs and tissue for New Jersey residents currently awaiting transplantation and is part of the national recovery system. The organization also works to increase the number of potential organ donors by creating public awareness about the lifesaving benefits of transplantation.
