The Valley Hospital is proud to announce that it has been chosen as one of America’s Best-In-State Hospitals in New Jersey for 2026. This prestigious ranking is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc.
The America’s Best-In-State Hospitals list recognizes hospitals for demonstrating excellence across specialties, and in safety and patient satisfaction, according to Newsweek.
According to the American Hospital Association, there are more than 6,000 hospitals across the United States. To generate the America’s Best-In-State Hospitals list, 800 of the nation’s top hospitals across 50 states and the District of Columbia were ranked on four criteria, including:
• Quality metrics – quality data is provided by hospital accreditation bodies, such as The Joint Commission;
• Reputation – feedback gathered from a nationwide survey of medical professionals;
• Patient experience – data gathered from the results of the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, which evaluates patient perceptions of their hospital care; and
• Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) questionnaires that ask patients about their experience and perceptions to assess patients’ health outcomes.
The result is a state-by-state guide of hospitals that stand out for clinical excellence, patient experience, and innovation in outcomes reporting, according to Newsweek’s website.
The Valley Hospital was one of 11 hospitals to make the New Jersey list.
“We are honored to be named among the state’s top hospitals,” said Robert Brenner, MD, MMM, FACHE, President and CEO of Valley Health System. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our doctors, nurses, and staff to provide high-quality care and service to our community.”
