The Valley Hospital has once again been ranked among the best hospitals in New Jersey by U.S. News & World Report for 2026-27, placing among the top 10 on the list of 93 New Jersey hospitals that were evaluated. Valley also ranked among the top 25 best hospitals in the New York metropolitan area.
In addition, The Valley Hospital achieved the highest possible rating of “high performing” in 9 adult procedures and conditions, including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair; colon cancer surgery; heart arrhythmia; hip fracture; hip replacement; knee replacement; leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma; lung cancer surgery; and stroke.

According to U.S. News & World Report, the organization began publishing hospital ratings in 1990, as “America’s Best Hospitals,” to identify the medical centers that excel in treating complex and challenging conditions.
Each year, U.S. News evaluates nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide. Hospitals are assessed using a methodology that emphasizes patient outcomes, as well as patient experience measures and other care-related quality indicators. To rate specific specialties, physician surveys also contribute to the overall evaluation.
