Retirement of William Klutkowski, CPA
This announcement was made jointly with the retirement of William Klutkowski, CPA, Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Valley Health System.
During Klutkowski’s nearly 31-year tenure with Valley, he contributed to virtually all operational and strategic aspects of the System’s finances, including billing, budgeting, capital planning, and real estate strategy. Throughout these years, Valley grew into one of the most financially successful healthcare systems in the state, closing 2025 with a $1.6 billion revenue budget and more than $2 billion in net worth.
Klutkowski also played a key role in the successful issuance and rapid placement of more than $350 million in bonds through the New Jersey Health Care Facilities Financing Authority, enabling Valley to finance the construction of The Valley Hospital in Paramus, New Jersey.
He has led the System’s Board of Trustees Finance Committee and overseen the day-to-day financial management and investment strategy of one of the busiest hospitals in New Jersey. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare management from Saint Elizabeth University in New Jersey, where he graduated cum laude.
A mentor to many, Klutkowski has long emphasized that his highest priorities are serving Valley’s patients, supporting the community and leadership team, and providing guidance and support to his staff.
“We wish Bill all the best as he embarks on this next chapter,” said Dr. Brenner. “On behalf of Valley, I thank Bill for his outstanding leadership and steadfast dedication to our patients and their families, our trustees, physicians, staff, and the entire community.”
