Valley Health System congratulates Jose Balderrama, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Valley Health System, for being named among the 2026 BINJE’s Best Hispanic Business Leaders.
BINJE (Business in New Jersey Every Day) is a statewide print and digital business publication. According to BINJE, its Hispanic Business Leaders recognition honors more than 100 outstanding Hispanic leaders from industries across New Jersey, including healthcare, education, finance, technology, construction, and the arts, for their impact on the state's business community. Each nominee is selected by the publication.
Among the list of honorees, Balderrama was recognized for his 12-year tenure leading Valley Health System’s Human Resources team and overseeing the growth of the organization’s greatest asset, people. His many accomplishments include attracting, hiring, and retaining staff; attaining record levels of employee engagement and satisfaction; achieving industry-leading staff retention rates; training and educating staff to support Valley’s transformation to a High Reliability Organization that commits to safety above all; and guiding Valley’s response to COVID-19, which prioritized the physical safety and mental health of our staff.
“I am honored to receive this recognition,” said Balderrama. “I believe that an organization's greatest strength is its people. I share this honor with Valley Health System’s team, whose commitment, collaboration, and passion inspire me every day. Together, we continue to build a culture where employees can thrive and make a meaningful difference.”
“As a result of Jose’s achievements, Valley is widely recognized as a top employer in our region,” said Robert Brenner, MD, MMM, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer of Valley Health System. “This well-deserved recognition reflects his exceptional leadership and dedication to our workforce. We are grateful for his contributions and proud to celebrate this achievement.”
