Developmental delays in children with a variety of special needs are evaluated and followed at Valley’s Kireker Center for Child Development. Therapies, structured on the individual needs of each child, are coordinated with the youngster’s personal physician and provided by a professional staff that includes a board-certified developmental pediatrician. Oversight and medical direction are provided by a board certified neonatologist who leads the center. Services offered by the center include:

The physiatrist closely follows each patient’s progress and works directly with the Center’s therapists and makes appropriate changes to the plan of care as needed.
- Audiology—A state-of-the-art audiology test suite allows for the assessment and diagnosis of hearing disorders by a certified Audiologist.
- Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics—A Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrician, who is board certified in pediatrics and with subspecialty training in developmental/behavioral pediatrics, evaluates children who exhibit behavioral/developmental, psycho/social or educational concerns. Depending on a child’s diagnosis, services could include behavioral intervention; physical, occupational or speech therapy; or other services listed on this web page.
