Most people, no matter what kind of work we perform on a daily basis, do not regularly receive praise. It’s heart-warming to be told that our efforts are appreciated.
For physicians, a “thank you” from a patient is especially treasured. Most of us consider it the highest form of accolade we can receive.
Every year on the national holiday know as Doctors’ Day, The Valley Hospital pays tribute to its medical staff. Former patients, their family members, neighbors and friends make contributions in honor of caregivers who have affected their lives in a special way.
I hope you will join in the celebration by clicking on the ‘Donate Online’ box to the right of my photo to make a tax-deductible gift in honor of a favorite doctor.
I can tell you from personal experience how wonderful it is to be recognized in this unique way. When I learned last year that several of my patients had made Doctors’ Day gifts in my honor, I was deeply touched by their kindness.
As a not-for-profit hospital, Valley relies on charitable donations to maintain modern facilities and invest in the latest technology.
With your Doctors’ Day gift, you’ll ensure that families throughout Bergen County and its adjoining communities will continue to have access to comprehensive, state of the art care and that doctors like me will have the finest hospital facilities in which to work.
I hope you will join in this year’s Doctors’ Day celebration by making a generous contribution. All of us associated with The Valley Hospital will very much appreciate any amount you’re able to give.
Sincerely,

John E. Strobeck, M.D.
P.S. Doctors’ Day is commemorated nationwide on March 30.
All donors will be cordially invited to attend our Doctors’ Day reception on Wednesday, April 7. When using the ‘Donate Online’ feature, please be sure to add your doctors name in the ‘In Honor Of’ section and include any comments you would like to have forwarded to your honored physician.
