The Valley Hospital Auxiliary's New Pledge is to
The Valley Hospital Breast Surgery Program at the Luckow Pavilion and
Valley Home Care's Butterflies Program
The Auxiliary is proud to support their pledge to raise $1.5 million to expand The Valley Hospital Breast Surgery Program at the Luckow Pavilion, which will include a dedicated mammography suite and ultrasound suite. More capacity to serve women in our community will be possible with state-of-the-art equipment staffed by highly trained and expert professionals.
The income earned from the endowment for Valley Home Care's Butterflies Program, which serves very ill children in our community, will make it possible for the palliative care and hospice program for children to continue for many years to come. It is a gift that keeps on giving.

Plans Underway to Celebrate 70th Anniversary of Valley Hospital Auxiliary
On January 21, 2014, The Valley Hospital Auxiliary will celebrate 70 years of service to The Valley Hospital and the community. Today, Auxilians number more than 2,000, representing 16 Bergen County towns and 16 branches. Since the Auxiliary started in 1944, members have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to The Valley Hospital by serving as community liaisons for the hospital, raising more than $17 million for the hospital, and assisting the hospital in a variety of traditional and non-traditional volunteer services.
To mark this important milestone, the 70th anniversary committee is already planning activities for the coming year. Seated left to right are Megan Fraser, Elaine Heimberger, co-chair; Ann Swist; Kathleen Hayes, co-chair; and Liz Tortorella. Standing left to right are Sandy Carapezza, Dorothy Bell, Linda Leeder, Lee Jenkins, Gabrielle Winnert, and Sarah Strauss. Missing from photo: Carol Ann Gillespie and Karen Rhodes.
The 2014 Valley Hospital Journal
The Valley Hospital Auxiliary is now putting together the 2014 Valley Hospital Journal. The Journal is one of our Valley Days fund-raisers, worked on collectively by our 16 branches in the towns surrounding The Valley Hospital campus. Our Journal has been published each year for more than 25 years, and is distributed at all of our major fund-raising events, at our annual luncheon in June, in the visiting areas of The Valley Hospital, at Kurth Café and Gift Shop, and given to every new trustee and volunteer.
We invite you to take advantage of this marketing opportunity to advertise in our Journal that reaches the Bergen County Community. Please submit your ad by December 15.
