Parisa Karimi, Pharm.D.

Dr. Parisa Karimi earned a Bachelor Degree in Risk Management from Georgia State University. Soon after she graduated with her business degree, she wanted to explore her interest in medicine and pursued her passion by attending pharmacy school. She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. While attending pharmacy school, Parisa played an intricate role in organizing and attending flu clinics across the Los Angeles area with Rite Aid Pharmacy. Through her experiences, she developed skills in patient care, organizational infrastructure, and teamwork. Dr Karimi’s current interests are in emergency medicine and infectious diseases. Her residency research project is focused on pharmacist education for code team participation utilizing simulation training. After the completion of her residency, she plans on working in patient care with a focus on emergency medicine or infectious disease in addition to obtaining her certification as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist.

Melanie Stewart , Pharm.D.

Dr. Melanie Stewart is originally from Paramus, New Jersey. She earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree in May 2015 from Rutgers University. Dr. Stewart's interests include oncology and infectious disease. Her residency research project is focused on monitoring for increased incidence of side effects associated with a decreased infusion rate of bevacizumab in the outpatient infusion center. Dr. Stewart's career goals are to practice as a clinical pharmacy specialist. In her free time, Dr. Stewart enjoys baking, singing, attending Broadway shows, and spending time with friends and family.
