Flexible spending accounts let you place money in a separate account on a pre-tax basis. Some employers offer such accounts for employees to set aside funds to pay for health and dental expenses over the course of the year. Internal Revenue Service regulations state that monies in a flexible spending account are not subject to federal income taxes, state income taxes, or FICA taxes. You must carefully consider the amount you plan to deduct as you cannot change your decision during that year and any unused funds may be forfeited to your employer. Also, some medical expenses may not qualify, so ask about fertility treatment coverage with your employer.
Our experienced financial counselors will guide you through the process of managing the financial end of treatment. They are available to meet with you before treatment begins and at any point during your care. For more information, please call us at 201-634-5400 or e-mail us at email@example.com.
