Get to Know Me

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

Osteopathic manipulation, laceration repairs, skin biopsies.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

My approach to care is to form a teammate type relationship with the patient, inform them of all choices and options, and come up with a plan of care that should succeed. I follow up and monitor my patients closely. When it comes to chronic disease, I make sure that I educate the patient on the disease so that they are empowered to control it.

What inspired you to become a doctor?

I’ve always had a passion for helping others. There is no better way to help others except to make them feel their best.

Patient Ratings & Comments

Comments are gathered from our patient satisfaction surveys.

the doctor is very caring. great doctor. i come here from dumont because of the doctor.
I would highly recommend Dr Shekari! My visit was not rushed, he listened to my concerns and took great care to help me.
Dr. Shekari I think is an excellent doctor. He was my doctor when he was in Dumont, NJ. He listens to what I say and we discuss whatever is wrong.
Dr. Shekari, although friendly, did not do anything to help me during my visit. I told him I had traveled out of the country the past week and was now feeling symptoms unusual than the normal "cold." Needless to say, no flu test was every offered or recommended. I came back the following night demanding a flu test and tested positive for the flu. I was very unhappy with this visit. No follow-up was ever discussed. No medication recommendations were ever offered.
Doctor exuded confidence and a high level of expertise.
