About Laura Klein
What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
I treat all diseases of the breast, both benign and malignant. I have a background in treating ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), young women with breast cancer, as well as rare breast cancers.
What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?
Some of the techniques that I use in my practice include oncoplastic surgery, nipple-sparing mastectomy, hidden scar surgery, as well as reconstruction of the breast with autologous tissue as well as prosthetics.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
We treat our patients utilizing evidence-based care in a patient-focused manner. We have a navigation team of nurses and people to help guide patients through this complex process. We give every patient an individualized plan and treat everyone with the utmost respect and care. We have an extensive survivorship program to address important aspects of risk reduction of recurrences, treating unwanted side effects of medications, and supporting a healthy lifestyle. We also have a robust clinical trials program offering our patients the very best there is to offer. Incorporating research into the program when appropriate allows patients to participate in leading-edge approaches.
