Get to Know Me

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

I utilize a wide variety of modalities and interventions to better serve my patients, including exercise, PT, OT, SLP, aquatherapy, ultrasound and landmark guided injections, orthoses, bracing, Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), and medications. I take a holistic approach and utilize my patients preferences to help improve their pain and maximize their function.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

This is a practice where I listen first and then we work together to figure out the next steps towards better health and function. No two patients receive the same treatment plan as no two patients are exactly alike! Using your preferences, we may seek to avoid medications or avoid surgery. The best plan is the plan that a patient understands and agrees with, and I hope to empower my patients' preferences and stay with them as they work towards better health and function.

What inspired you to become a doctor?

My mother has been a brain cancer survivor since 2009 and my father suffers from chronic back pain. Before becoming a physician, I saw from a caregiver's perspective what it meant to help improve their function. To improve a family member's quality of life is the best gift you can give. As an osteopathic physiatrist, I strive to understand the deficits and limitations that a patient may have, be it from cancer, injury, age, or degeneration. It's my personal goal to help promote my patients' health and function.
