Get to Know Me
What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
Gynecologic oncology is a specialized field of medicine that focuses on the treatment of cancers of the ovaries, vagina, uterus, cervix, and vulva. A gynecologic oncology nurse practitioner cares for people who have these conditions, helping the patient navigate their journey through surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and beyond.
Describe some of your professional highlights.
I hold a national certification from the Oncology Nursing Society and I am also formally trained in holistic nursing.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
As a former oncology infusion nurse with many years of experience in managing chemotherapy side effects, I bring a unique set of skills to the role of Gyn/Onc nurse practitioner. I can help manage the side effects of surgical intervention as well as provide insight to the management of chemotherapeutic agents. I will also assist in managing well-woman care in the years following the acute phase of treatment and the transition to the Gyn/Onc survivorship program.
