The Center for Integrative Medicine's specialized cooking classes are designed to inspire students to create flavorful, delicious meals with whole, natural foods while optimizing nutrition and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Clean Cooking Classes

"Clean" cooking and eating, which is gluten-, dairy- and sugar-free, can provide excellent health results. We offer two clean cooking classes: 

  • Zen and the Art of Clean Cooking - Explore the science behind clean eating and indulge in the freshest organic and sustainable foods. Bring friends to a scheduled class or get a group together and attend a custom cooking class designed to meet your dietary needs! All classes are led by internationally trained chef Carrie Weiss.
    • Cost: $95 per class ($75 when signing up for four or more classes)
  • Food as Medicine: The Clean Eating Connection - Join us for a special evening of education and delicious food! Jodie Katz, M.D., Medical Director at the Center for Integrative Medicine, discusses the relationship between food and optimal health, while internationally trained chef Carrie Weiss prepares a variety of gluten-, sugar- and dairy-free foods for sampling.
    • Cost: $50 per class

Heart-Healthy Cooking Classes

Join Christine Okezie, an inspirational natural foods chef and integrative nutrition coach, as she shows students how to make satisfying flavor-filled meals with the Mediterranean diet. Numerous studies have shown that the Mediterranean diet can result in weight loss and help prevent heart attacks, strokes, type 2 diabetes and premature death. It's a lifestyle centered on whole, natural foods, including vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and healthy fats like avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil. Discover how easy and delicious it can be to adopt a delicious heart-healthy eating plan for life!
