The weeks leading up to your baby’s arrival are full of planning and anticipation. At the Center for Childbirth, we want you to feel prepared, at ease – and excited! – for this big event in your family, and we’re here to answer all of your questions about having a baby at Valley.
Out of consideration for our patients’ privacy, safety and comfort, the Center for Childbirth no longer offers guided tours through our labor and delivery unit, mother-baby suite, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, or operating suite. However, we offer several ways to help you learn what to expect during your hospital stay:
Take a Virtual Tour
Our virtual tour video (see below) offers an in-depth, step-by-step look at everything you’ll experience at The Valley Hospital, with an even greater level of detail than our previous guided tours. Learn about:
- What to bring to the hospital
- The Center for Childbirth team
- Our labor and delivery unit
- Birthing amenities
- C-section information
- All-private mother-baby suites
- Amenities for families
- Lactation support
- Going home with your baby
Attend an Information Session
Have questions after taking our virtual tour? Join us for a one-hour Q&A session at The Valley Hospital, where you'll have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about Valley's Center for Childbirth. (Please note: While participants may be taken up to the lobby of the labor and delivery unit, they will not be allowed to walk through the unit.)
If you have special needs and would like to arrange a guided tour, or if you have additional questions about the Center for Childbirth, please call 201-291-6151.
