What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
Upper respiratory infections, sinus infections/upper respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, pneumonia, bronchitis, asthma/COPD exacerbations, minor lacerations/burns, incision and drainage of simple abscesses, joint sprains/strains/injuries, minor musculoskeletal traumas, anxiety/depression, vaginitis, urethritis, sexually transmitted diseases/screening for STDs, worker's compensation injuries, skin infections/cellulitis, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disorders, immunizations, high cholestoerol, contraceptive care, adolescent preventative health.
What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?
Physical exams, pre-operative medical clearance, sports physical exams, well woman exams, pap smear examinations/pelvic/breast exams, rectal examinations/fecal occult blood testing, suturing simple lacerations, x-rays, phlebotomy, immunizations/vaccinations, breathing (nebulizer) treatments, splinting for musculosketetal injuries, urinalysis, blood glucose testing, therapeutic injections (ie: Toradol, steroid), rapid strep/flu testing, urine drug screening. PPD skin testing.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
I provide compassionate, high quality evidence-based care, taking into account psychosocial factors. I serve as an advocate for my patients. I work with my patients to prevent chronic diseases while also taking care of acute medical problems as they arise. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families each and every day. I work with my patients to help keep them healthier.
