What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pneumonia bronchitis, chronic cough, lung cancer and tuberculosis, pleural disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, hypersomnia, insomnia, narcolepsy, shift work disorders, circadian rhythm disorder, palliative care, critical care consultation and management.
Some of the procedures I use are bronchoscopy, thoracentesis and pulmonary function testing.
My approach to patient care is multifaceted. I treat not only the disease, but also many aspects of the patient and their illness. I discuss emotions, fears, family concerns, and other personal issues that may be adversely impacting their health.
My ambition to become a physician began very young, seeing my grandfather suffer from chronic illness. I felt a spark inside me that made me feel I needed to find a way to help him heal. I went with him to his many doctors appointments and wanted to learn more. That is why I chose this path.
