Bio

What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

My main areas of expertise include the treatment of Breast, Gynecologic (cervix, endometrium), and Skin Cancer. I also treat patients in the Gamma Knife Center, especially benign conditions such as Trigeminal neuralgia, Acoustic neuroma, and AVM.

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

We use advanced radiation techniques for all of our patients. For breast cancer patients we use DIBH (a breathing technique) to protect the heart. We also use new, accelerated treatments to complete a course of radiation in 4 weeks and sometimes just 1 week. All of our patients benefit from the most advanced radiation technology available.

Describe some of your professional highlights.

I completed my residency training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where I was also chief resident. Following my training, I was an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, initially at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and then at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. I have been selected as a Top Doctor in Radiation Oncology in the New York Metropolitan Area for the past 20 years.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

In the Department of Radiation Oncology, we always strive to treat the “whole” patient. Once they begin their journey with us, we do more than just offer the most advanced technical Radiation Therapy available. Cancer patients often have additional emotional, social, psychological, nutritional, and spiritual needs which, by addressing, helps to facilitate their ongoing therapy and also helps to contribute to a rapid recovery. We work closely in a Multi-Disciplinary fashion with all involved physicians to ensure their care is coordinated and optimal.
