Describe some of your professional highlights.
I practice functional medicine and am in the process of certifying through the Institute for Functional Medicine. In addition, I run the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program (MBSR). I have also received basic and advanced training in the MBSR program through the University of Massachuesett's medical school. I’m also a 200-hour yoga instructor and am certified in structural yoga.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
At the Center for Integrative Medicine, we feel that health is not merely the absence of symptoms, but rather is about living the best life that is possible for you. We spend time listening to your unique history and examining the interaction between genetics, environmental and lifestyle factors that may be adversely impacting your health. Based on these findings, we work to design a program that combines conventional western medicine you may be receiving with more natural therapies that meet your specific needs.
