About Howard Frauwirth
What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
I see patients for a wide range of medical conditions. Acute examples are infections, abdominal complaints, and musculoskeletal injuries. Chronic medical conditions include type 2 diabetes, hypertension, depression, osteoporosis, dementia, and more. Meanwhile, my passion is lipid management. I am a certified clinical lipidologist and am available for consultation on hard-to-treat cholesterol and triglyceride disorders.
What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?
I use advanced lipid testing to better characterize risk and help identify the best therapeutic approaches for hard-to-treat cases.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
In addition to general internal medicine, I am a board-certified clinical lipidologist. I work with patients with poorly controlled triglycerides and cholesterol on achieving goal numbers, and preventing complications associated with bad cholesterol, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes and pancreatitis. Patients can reach out to me with any questions about their care and count on getting a response that day. I pride myself on not leaving the office until all matters are settled.
