What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

Endocrine issues, Type 1 and type 2 gestational diabetes, thyroid disorders, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancers, disorders of the pituitary gland and adrenal glands, PCOS, hypogonadism, nutritional disorders, osteoporosis and bone metabolism.

Procedures offered: thyroid ultrasounds, thyroid FNA biopsies, neck ultrasound, insulin pump management, management of parenteral nutrition.

Describe some of your professional highlights.

I am a certified nutrition support clinician through the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification. I also obtained an Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound sponsored through the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

My approach to care is to understand not only the clinical evidence and guidelines behind various endocrine diseases, but how specifically my patients are affected by their illness. By understanding my patients thoughts and approach to their own medical problems, I am better able to tailor treatments to their specific needs. In recent years there are many new medications and tools that have been developed to address illnesses such as diabetes, thyroid disease, and osteoporosis. By getting to know my patients on a more personal basis, I am able to offer them the specific treatments that ultimately will be the most successful for them.

I can manage both inpatient and outpatient parenteral nutrition. I am also well versed in managing insulin pumps form multiple manufacturers.
