About Edward Yatco
What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
Some of the specific conditions that I treat include morbid obesity, metabolic disorders, weight regain after bariatric surgery, GERD, hiatal/para-esophageal hernia, abdominal wall hernias, and cholecystits/bilary colic.
What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?
I perform minimally invasive weight loss procedures such as sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, modified duodenal switch (SADI) and revisional bariatric surgery (for weight regain) using the Da Vinci robot surgical system. I also treat morbid obesity using medical therapeutics and behavior modification. My bariatric practice employs extensive preoperative and postoperative guidance, nutritional education, health monitoring and support.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
My approach to care relies upon a strong doctor-patient relationship to establish the patient's goals and to determine the most effective and safest way to achieve those goals. My role as a surgeon is to significantly improve the lives of my patients while minimizing any risks to their health and well-being.
