What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

Some of the specific conditions that I treat are COPD, asthma, cough, bronchitis, pneumonia, sarcoidosis, occupational lung disease, lung cancer, pleural effusion, pulmonary embolism, tobacco dependence, pulmonary fibrosis, emphysema, pneumothorax, sepsis.

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

Some of the techniques and procedures that I use in my practice are bronchoscopy, chest tube placements, thoracentesis, pulmonary function testing, spirometry, pulmonary rehabilitation, chest x-ray, CT scan, thoracic ultrasound, non invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, central line placement, 6-minute walk test, methacholine challenge testing, and ultrasounds.

Describe some of your professional highlights.

I have published several articles, including “Mounier Kuhn Syndrome: A Case Report” in the journal Lung, “Granular Cell Tumor of the Trachea: A Case Report and Review of the Literature” in the journal Clinical Pulmonary Medicine, “Spontaneous Splenic Rupture in Infectious Mononucleosis” in the journal Hospital Physician, and "An Unexpected Cause of Hemoptysis" in the Journal of the American Thoracic Society. I also co-authored the chapter on Pulmonary Rehabilitation in the textbook, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Board Review, Second Edition. I became board certified in internal medicine in 2007, pulmonary medicine in 2010 and critical care medicine in 2012. I am a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of New Jersey and the Bergen County Medical Society. I am also a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

I treat every patient as though they were a member of my own family.

What inspired you to become a doctor?

My father has been a physician since 1968. He is my role model and he inspired me to become a physician.
