What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

Some of the conditions that I treat include chest pain, hypertension, hypercholesteremia, CHF, MI/post MI, post CABG, and angina.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

Spending time with my patients is the most rewarding part of my job. I enjoy discussing their cardiac issues and concerns. I feel that truly listening to my patients is the most important part of my job and together we can work on a collaborative approach to their care that they can feel comfortable implementing. Education on health and treatment is crucial to a patient's success.

What inspired you to become a healthcare provider?

Ultimately, becoming a Cardiac APN was a natural evolution for me. My previous experience as an RN enabled me to come from a perspective of having been at the bedside closely understanding the day-to-day challenges and needs patients have. Now helping to direct their cardiac care has been a rewarding next step for me.
