Get to Know Me
What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
As an internist, I treat a broad range of illnesses that afflict adults including hypertension, diabetes, and hypercholesterolemia. I also refer my patients to the specialists they need for their chronic or acute conditions. A large part of my practice focuses on preventive medicine including adult vaccination, age-appropriate cancer screening, and minimization of risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
When it comes to recommending diagnostic procedures and treatments, I follow evidence-based guidelines. I realize that each patient is an individual who may have his or her own preferences regarding medical care which I try to honor in the framework of evidence-based medicine.
What inspired you to become a doctor?
My interest in science and the ability to help others directly through the practice of medicine inspired me to become a doctor.
