Gail Matthews, M.D., Medical Director
Gail Matthews, M.D., is the Medical Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at The Valley Hospital. She received her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Matthews completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, VA, and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY. She is board certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

Jennifer M. Amorosa, M.D.
Jennifer M. Amorosa, M.D., Women's Services, Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Valley Hospital. Dr. Amorosa completed her medical education and residency at Columbia University in New York, NY. Additionally she completed a fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY.
Traci C. Burgess, M.D., M.P.H.
Traci C. Burgess, M.D., M.P.H., is an attending physician at The Valley Hospital. Board certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Burgess received her medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and her master's degree in Public Health from the Columbia University School of Public Health. She completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency, as well as a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, at the Sloane Hospital for Women at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center; she also completed an additional fellowship in Patient Safety at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Burgess is licensed in New York State and New Jersey. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the National Medical Association and several other organizations. Dr. Burgess has an interest in patient safety and has participated in many initiatives while working in NYC.
Claudia Mosquera Charlenea, M.D.
Claudia Mosquera Charlenea, M.D., is an attending physician at The Valley Hospital. An Obstetrician/Gynecologist and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist, Dr. Charlenea comes to Valley from Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Mosquera Charlenea, MD received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she also completed a residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology. Dr.Mosquera Charlenea completed her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York Presbyterian Hospital. She is fluent in English and Spanish and is licensed in New York State and New Jersey.
A Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Dr. Mosquera Charlenea has been published in several medical journals and has presented at national meetings and Grand Rounds. She has also been recognized by prestigious organizations such as the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her commitment to community service and humanism in the practice of medicine.

Jane C. Goldman, M.D., Women's Services, Material-Fetal Medicine at the Valley Hospital. Dr. Goldman completed her medical education at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, NY. She also completed here residency and fellowship at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, NY.
Carolyn M. Zelop, M.D.
A New Jersey native, board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist Carolyn Zelop, M.D., is right at home as a member of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine team at The Valley Hospital. She comes to Valley from the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
Dr. Zelop completed her medical education and training in Boston, having received her medical degree from Tufts University and completing her internship, residency and fellowship all at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Zelop has held academic positions at Harvard Medical School, the University of Chicago School of Medicine and the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Her leadership roles include serving as the Director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a Board Examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in addition to many committee appointments. Dr. Zelop is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, among other professional societies.
An accomplished researcher, author and presenter, Dr. Zelop's studies, abstracts and exhibits have been published in respected medical journals and presented at prestigious clinical meetings and Grand Rounds.
Since her arrival at The Valley Hospital, she has instituted a new clinical program of Fetal Echocardiography. This is the first and only AIUM certified Fetal Echo Program in the state of New Jersey.
