As many as 7.5 million Americans are affected by psoriasis, a chronic, long lasting skin disease typically described as the over production of skin cells resulting in patches of thick, red inflamed skin. Individuals with psoriasis experience physical discomfort, as well as some disability. The Valley Hospital will host a discussion about psoriasis on Wednesday March 5. Tamar Zapolanski, M.D. will lead a discussion covering the signs, symptoms, and treatment options to manage psoriasis.
Tamar Zapolanski, M.D., is a dermatologist with Valley Medical Group. Dr. Zapolanski earned her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed her residency at New York Presbyterian, Cornell and her internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Dr. Zapolanski is board certified in Dermatology.
