Many people take supplements with the intention of enhancing their health. In order to help people make the right decisions about adding supplements to their health routine, The Valley Hospital will host “To Supplement or Not to Supplement, ” a free seminar, on Tuesday, February 18.
Howard Frauwirth, M.D. and Janet Brancato, M.S., R.D. will lead the discussion about the pros and cons of taking supplements like calcium, vitamin D, magnesium, and protein, and the impact they have on our bodies.
Howard Frauwirth, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Frauwirth is an Internist and Clinical Lipidologist with Valley Medical Group in Wyckoff.
Janet Brancato is a Registered Dietitian with a Master’s Degree in Nutrition from New York Medical College. Currently, Janet teaches groups and counsels individuals on diet modifications and lifestyle changes to promote good health. Janet is a member of the American Dietetic Association and the New Jersey Dietetic Association.
